My personal collection part 1

My personal collection part 1

Dear readers,

As founder of Rendezvous Cinema Ltd I wanted to let you into my lair and show you what is on my walls, what is awaiting framing and some bits and pieces which might be fun to see. To start with I should stress that I am not a collector of valuable items, I like certain films and if I stumble across items relating to a film I love I will tend to want to buy it!! Not all of these items are originals and I have not spent a lot of time considering the value. I'd love to hear people's opinions, maybe share some images of the items you have bought at Rendezvous Cinema through social media or just send them to us and we’ll post them.

American Werewolf In London - French 1 panel

This was a gift from my partner Gillian about 10 years ago, it took many years to find a wall that would take this beast! One of my favourite movies and one you can re-watch over and over.

Jim Ferguson originals (https://www.jimfergusonmakingascene.com/)

I met and purchased these 4 pieces of artwork from Jim in Florida about 5 years back, loved them then and do still, Texas Chainsaw Massacre & The Big Lebowski take pride of place in my office whilst Caddyshack is in the kitchen and The Never Ending Story is in the living room.

Plan 9 from Outer Space

Repro from a video box set of Plan 9 from Outer Space and Ed Wood on VHS plus the Nightmares in Ecstacy book on the life of Ed Wood. A fascinating guy and his movies though prolifically bad, I find something to enjoy in all that I have seen.

Twin Peaks - Fire Walk with Me

Original Locandina, cropped and framed. I bought this before I knew what a Locandina was and probably paid well over the odds for this!! Though I have to say I find the Locandinas very appealing especially if you are planning to actually frame and hang as they are the right size to be able to fit almost anywhere.

Slap Shot

One of my all time favourite movies, great dialog, great action and a great performance from Paul Newman. Watch this movie with beer and mates!

Well that wraps up part 1 of this blog, I'll be adding more soon so watch this space, create an account with us for regular updates.
