Basil Dearden film posters

From The Halfway House to Khartoum

Basil Dearden was one of the busiest directors in British cinema, starting at Ealing in the 1940s and working into the late 1960s. Basil Dearden film posters here centre on his later work: Charlton Heston and Laurence Olivier in Khartoum and the period caper The Assassination Bureau with Oliver Reed and Diana Rigg.

Khartoum is the main draw, with six Italian fotobuste from 1966, plus a Spanish re-release poster from 1974. The Assassination Bureau comes as an Italian locandina, and The Mind Benders, with Dirk Bogarde, as an uncut US pressbook. The Halfway House, from his Ealing years, is here on DVD.
